Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Gravel ("Gravel", "we", "us", "our"), a car meet and social application and related services. By creating an account or using Gravel, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data. It is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Gravel. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf where required by law.
2. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose risk to the community.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against others.
- Post illegal content, or content that infringes others' intellectual property or privacy.
- Use Gravel for spam, scams, or fraudulent activity.
- Attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to use.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the service except as allowed by applicable law.
- Use Gravel to organize or promote illegal street racing, reckless driving, or other unlawful conduct on public roads.
4. Content you post
You retain ownership of content you create. By posting on Gravel, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and improve the service (for example, showing your posts and meets to other users).
You represent that you have the rights to post your content and that it does not violate these Terms or applicable law. We may remove content or restrict features when we reasonably believe it violates these Terms or harms the community.
5. Meets, convoys, and real-world activity
Gravel helps people find and share information about car meets and related events. You are solely responsible for your conduct offline and for complying with traffic laws, venue rules, and local regulations. We do not organize, endorse, or insure in-person events. Attend meets at your own risk.
6. Location and maps
Features that use location (nearby meets, local chat, convoy map) work only if you grant permission. You can revoke location access in your device settings. You are responsible for how you share your location with others.
7. Intellectual property
Gravel's name, branding, software, and materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by law. You may not use our marks or copy our product in a way that confuses users or implies endorsement without permission.
8. Third-party services
We use infrastructure providers (for example, Supabase) to run the app. Their services are subject to their own terms and policies where applicable.
9. Disclaimers
Gravel is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We are not responsible for user-generated content or for third-party conduct.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gravel and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of fifty dollars (USD $50) or the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (if any).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent the law allows.
11. Indemnity
You agree to defend and indemnify Gravel and its operators against claims arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
12. Changes
We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We will post the new date at the top of this page. If changes are material, we may notify you in the app or by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Termination
You may stop using Gravel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms or if we need to protect users or the service. Provisions that by nature should survive (such as licenses for content already distributed, disclaimers, and limits on liability) will survive termination.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Gravel's operator is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer protections apply.
